Mark Foster - Olympic swimmer

Wellman’s Olympic swimmer (and 2008 BBC TV Strictly Come Dancing contestant!)
Mark Foster is 6 times World champion, 10 times European Champion, 8 times world record holder, 2 times Commonwealth champion. Mark was also selected for the great honour of leading the entire GB team, as flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games - what more inspiration do you need.




Jim Rees - Ultra cyclist, athlete, iron man, author

Jim Rees aged 46, is an ultra cyclist, ironman, author, keynote speaker, and father of 6

As a perfect role model of Team Inspiration Jim has completed the gruelling Race Across America (RAAM) twice and is now training for RAAM 2009! This race is known to be one of the toughest out, mentally, spiritually and physically, a staggering 3044 miles from San Diego to Annapolis against the clock!




Ashley Theophane - Professional boxer

Ashley "Treasure" Theophane is a boxer, motivational speaker, sport’s nutritionist and fitness trainer.

He holds the GBC World Welterweight Championship & many experts rank him as the NO.1 contender in Britain at Light-Welterweight. He has fought all over the world from Germany to St.Lucia to America.

Ashley is also a conditioning coach to some of the best fighters in the world. He spends his spare time working for charities and disadvantaged children in the community.


Ben Hunt Davis - Corporate coach, Gold Medallist at Sydney Olympics

Ben is a professional rower, corporate coach, facilitator and presenter

Ben has competed as a rower at 6 World Rowing Championships, 1 Goodwill Games and 3 Olympic Games. Ben’s best results came in his last 2 years competing, where he achieved Silver in the 1999 World championships and Gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Ben is also a Steward of the Henley Royal Regatta and was on the organizing committee of the 2006 World Rowing Championships. Ben was an ambassador for the London 2012 bid, and was part of Team GB’s HQ staff for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

For the last 5 years he has had his own business, Point8 Coaching.



 

Kerry White - Ultra cyclist

Kerry completed RAAM 2007, and was the first Type 1 Diabetic to complete the event as a solo competitor. 

Her hope is to continue raising awareness for those with Diabetes that ‘anything is possible’.  She also competes in 24 hour mountain bike races, and loves the personal challenges they offer. Her Hobbies include; cycling, nordic skiing, swimming, running and anything that involves outdoor physical activity for long periods of time. Kerry finds the words of the philosopher Eric Butterworth to be a great expression parallel to how she wishes to live her life…

“Why be an average person? All the great achievements of history have been made by strong individuals who refused to consult statistics or to listen to those who could prove convincingly that what they wanted to do, and in fact ultimately did do, was completely impossible.”

Kerry’s hope is to inspire people to live their dreams and believe in the impossible. Dream it, Plan it, Live it!


Dr Linda Papadopoulous - Psychologist

Dr. Linda Papadopoulos is one of the most well-known and respected psychologists today. 

Dr. Linda Papadopoulos initially known by the public for her regular appearances and insightful commentary on the UK version of the television phenomenon Big Brother, Dr. Linda has also provided professional psychological commentary for numerous British television and radio programs such as The Big Breakfast, Richard & Judy, The Wright Stuff, GMTV (Good Morning Television), This Morning and the London Broadcasting Company’s (LBC) 97.3 FM.  Her opinions are also regularly featured on Sky, Channel 5, ITN and BBC news programs.  More recently, Dr. Linda’s appearance as expert psychologist on VH-1’s Celebrity Fit Club has gained her acclaim with both critics and the American viewing public alike.


Lindsey Springer - Qualified medical herbalist, RAAM 2009 crew

Lindsey is a qualified Medical Herbalist with a wealth of health experience.

Lindsey has featured in radio and on Talkperfection.com. She has been a ‘health expert’ in various health magazines and her case histories have featured on the BBC news website. Having done gymnastics at a young age she is now a keen yoga and pilates enthusiast. As well as Team Inspiration ambassador she is part of the crew for RAAM 2009.

 

Kelly and Dave ‘The Cycling Nomads’

Kelly and Dave are ‘The Cycling Nomads’ and Team Inspiration Ambassadors.

Kelly and Dave are ‘The Cycling Nomads’ and Team Inspiration Ambassadors. They started cycling in November 2008 across the American continent to fulfil their dream and experience new challenges. Funding the adventure themselves, they anticipate that they will be on the road for up to 2 years, facing extreme weather conditions and the challenging terrain that the American continent has to offer. Along the way they hope to raise £20,000 for Julia’s House, a Dorset based children’s hospice and the international charity SOS Children’s Villages. Jackson Williams - Ultra marathon runner and lightweight boxer

Jackson Williams is an accomplished ultra marathon runner and has run across The United States of America from Huntington Beach in California, to Central Park in New York. The run covered just over 3,000 miles!

In March 2009, Jackson completed a 48 hour cycle/run challenge for Comic Relief, cycling from Norwich, to Tower Bridge in London with a team of 7 other participants. He then ran the 115 miles back to Norwich in 24 hours! Jackson plans to run 26 marathons in 26 consecutive days, and aims to break the Guinness World Record for running across Australia, from Perth to Sydney in summer 2010.


 

Chris Roberts- fitness / endurance athlete

Chris Roberts major event will be the Marathon Des Sables in 2010 - renowned for being the ‘toughest foot race on earth’ covering 243km/151 miles run over 6 days, that’s the equivalent to 5 1/2 regular marathons! In addition to that, competitors have to carry everything they will need for the duration (apart from a tent) on their backs in a rucksack (food, clothes, medical kit, sleeping bag etc). Competitors experience mid-day temperatures of up to 120°F, running or walking on uneven rocky, stony ground as well as 15 - 20% of the distance being in sand dunes- good luck Chris!

Chris has already competed in Toughguy events, completed two London marathons, sprint triathlons and cycle tours and is also currently in training for ING New York marathon and Sportif in Swiss Alps.
