Fitter Schools Feedback

FEEDBACK TIME (Jim Rees founder of Team Inspiration has been travelling around the country visiting schools and clubs)

Dear Jim

A very belated note to thank you for the fantastic job you did for us at our World of Work Afternoon. The feedback from some students was really encouraging. Your talk was extremely insightful and pitched at the perfect level and I know it struck a cord with many of our Year 11s.

One of the reasons I have delayed writing is because I have been discussing with staff the possibility of you coming back into school to talk again. I know we discussed the possibility of talking to Year 12 or 13, potentially during our summer term. However, I have also been asked by our Head of Professional Development (who was in the Lecture Theatre with us) whether you would be interested in speaking to some of our staff. As you are aware, teaching can be hard work and we have a hardcore group of very competent middle management staff who would really benefit from the sort of motivational and leadership skills you are expert in.

If this is something you’d be interested in, please drop me a line.

In the meantime, thanks once again.

Kind regards
Matt Hall, Head of Careers

Hi Jim,

Just a quick email to thank you for last night - I was truly impressed with the way both teams handled themselves and found it a welcome challenge to not only the girls but to me personally and others as a coach.

I have found myself today checking if I am working at a 10!

Stacey (my daughter) has also said that she has reminded herself all day of the scale, I am sure that those who attended last night have done the same.

It was truly a positive experience and one which will only drive us all forward to the people that we are now choosing to become.

thank you once again for the inspiration and timely reminder.

kindest regards

Sarah

Hi,

Im a sixth form student at Knights Templar School and I would just like to say thank you for the talk you gave us today. I am quite a positive person alot of the time and it has got me through life so far, but your talk has made me realise that whatever I want to do in life is completely possible, so long as I believe I can do it and dont give up. You have given me the kick up the backside I needed before more my A Level exams start in a few weeks! ha

Good luck with the race across America!

Thanks again.

James

hi,

i just wanted to thank you once again for coming to talk to the yr 13s. i read your book as soon as i got home it's brilliant, and it's unbelievable what you can do when you put your mind to it, by watching your cycling race you know that anything is possible. Thanks for really inspiring me, and so many others too, everybody thought you were great, everyone was blown away. I can't find your little card anywhere, would it be possible to send me your mobile number again please. Did your son have a nice birthday, did you all have a great time at lego land, hope you did. Take care and godbless.

Dear Mrs Ryan,

Thank you so much for introducing Jim Rees to the School today. His talk was fascinating, inspirational, interesting and, above all, motivational. The children were captivated by everything they saw and heard and I am sure they will draw from this over the coming years. Please send him our sincere thanks for taking the time to come and talk to us and our best wishes for all the challenges that lie ahead.

With best wishes

Ian McIntyre
